Hunters share rooms (2 per room). Each room in our luxurious, new lodge comes complete with its own bathroom, 2 top quality 39" beds and lots of hot water! The bedrooms open on to a large 20' X 33' greet room where hunters can meet to socialize or relax after a hard day of hunting.
Mercer Outfitting operates as a licensed outfitter in northern Saskatchewan Canada. We offer a fall trophy Whitetail season, spring and fall Black Bear seasons, a combination spring Black Bear/fish package, a combination fall Black Bear/upland game bird package and have just added a combination fall Whitetail / Black Bear package.
Mercer Outfitting operates on 252 square miles of commercial forest. This area abounds with wildlife. We have had numerous easy winters that have allowed the big game as well as the fur bearers to increase and prosper. We have a very large adult male Black Bear population with color phases from blonde through cinnamon, chocolate and black. We have excellent whitetail hunting as well.
Mercer Outfitting has certified guides. Hunters can use climbers, ladders, ground blinds or a variety of elevated heated enclosures, VHF radios allow for communication between guides, hunters and camp. This is also a safety feature.
Hunters are picked up at their hotel Sunday morning and are transported to camp in a van/trailer, with ample room for the hunters and their luggage and equipment. Hunters arrive in camp Sunday afternoon at their new, modern, 5 star lodge accommodation located in the northern settlement of Sled Lake. Each room houses two hunters and has its own bathroom with shower. Towels, linen (bedding) and thermos's are provided.
If a hunter requires to shoot his gun prior to the hunt, this can be done Sunday afternoon before dinner.
Rifle Dress Code - A complete outer suit of scarlet, bright yellow, blaze orange or white or any combination of these colors. These colors must be solid colors not camo. Head gear may be any one of these colors except white. This dress code is required by law and is for your protection and safety. All hunters must wear proper, legal dress to hunt. Please do not ask our guides to make exceptions.
Dress for Archers - Hunters using bows or muzzleloaders during specified archery or muzzleloader seasons are not required to observe dress code. However, hunters using bows or muzzleloaders during a rifle season where there is no overlapping archery or muzzleloader season for the species being hunted must observe the same dress code as rifle hunters.
