Our hunting features trophy white-tailed deer, black bear, as well as small game including Ruffed Grouse, Rabbit and squirrel. Our fishing features Walleye (our specialty), Small-mouthed Bass, Northern pike, and all the species of Trout. From ice-fishing in heated shelters to trolling monster Walleyes and Pike, we offer it all!

Chequamegon Bay in Ashland, Wisconsin is known nationwide for it's sport fishing and hunting. Situated on the southern shores of Lake Superior, it is the home to all types of wildlife, including trophy Whitetailed Deer and Black Bear, as well as a variety of small game including ruffed grouse, rabbit, and squirrel.
Chequamegon Bay was featured on In Fisherman with Al Lindner for Smallmouth Bass fishing, which shows the quality of fishing in the bay.

At Chequamegon Outfitters, you can experience long line trolling for trophy Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, and Pike. We only fish the Chequamegon Bay area, so fears of the big water of Lake Superior are not a problem. Big Walleye feed at night, with late spring and fall being the premier times for long-lining these monsters of the night.
If you've never experienced trolling for walleye, then you owe it to yourself to try this very productive way of putting quality walleye in the boat. More and more professional walleye anglers are winning tournaments by trolling! With Chequamegon Outfitters you'll get the taste of planer boards and release clips attached to Abu-Garcia Ambassedeur 5500C3 reels with medium action rods. With this method, we can pull 6-10 lines efficiently (even at night when 90% of our walleye fishing takes place) covering 200 ft. of water at a time using various baits and colors to try to determine just what suits their fancy. We don't always boast of catching big numbers of walleyes, but the quality you'll find exceptional with a good share of walleyes ranging from 20-26 inches and many each year around the 30 inch range. Hunting in the Chequamegon National Forest - Located in northern Wisconsin, the Chequamegon National Forest is known nationwide as one of the best areas for hunting trophy whitetail deer and black bear.
Chequamegon Outfitters can tailor your hunt any way you would like. From a fully guided archer or rifle hunt, to a drop off, we will get you into an area for your best chance at a whitetail buck. We also can set you up for a black bear hunt, as well as small game such as rabbits, grouse and squirrels.
