Plummers Lodges

Enjoy a good night's sleep after a hard day at play on your comfortable mattress in every room. Our room configurations come with your choice of two twin beds, a twin and a bunk bed or a double bed. Each building has modern indoor plumbing, hot and cold running water and cedar lined showers. Rooms are equipped with base board electric heat for those chilly nights. Daily maid service on the American Plan frees you to enjoy the outdoors, knowing your room will be neat and clean after a full day of play. You’ll love the hearty, home cooked meals served on the American Plan in the comfortable main dining room. Special diets can be prepared for you on request. At Cedar Ridge Lodge, friendships are made to last a lifetime. We are a proud supporter of the "pass it on" movement. Ask us about our special children’s rates. At night you can choose the privacy of your own room with a book from the camp library or enjoy stories being told by other sportsman around the fire. You can simply relax in the lounge as well.

Moose Hunting - Cedar Ridge Lodge is on the boundary between Wildlife Management Units (WMU) 28, 29 and 40. Moose hunting in the Kirkland Lake area has been popular for many years; at only 6 hours north of Toronto, it is the fifth best producing Moose area with over 500 tags available. Our lodge doesn’t offer Moose hunting to Non-residents.

Bear Hunting - The area has a heavy concentration of black bear, and offers beautiful landscape for fall hunting. Productivity from blinds and tree stands over bait is exceptional; seize the opportunity for a record kill this year.

Fishing Enthusiasts - Anglers find it worthwhile to make the trek here for the various benefits we offer. From our lodge, fishermen have the choice of fishing on any one of the 5 different Burt Lakes, all within a short distance. That is not all however, there are several other lakes within a 20 minute drive from the lodge. We offer a shuttle service for anyone wishing to try out any of the other lakes.

Cedar Ridge Lodge doesn’t just cater to anglers and hunters, there are several other activities to partake in for our guests. It is a great spot to visit on your holidays if you are simply looking to get away from it all and enjoy the peace and quiet that Northern Ontario has to offer.

There is a vast network of trails for winter snow-mobilers, and endless old forestry, hydro and mining access roads for summer ATV riders.

Enjoy the serenity of taking a hike along some of the cleared trails surrounding the lodge to take in the views of the surrounding area. We are remote yet only thirty minutes from the town of Kirkland Lake. It offers all the services you may require, and don’t forget to bring your golf clubs as they have a nice little 9 hole course for an afternoon round. The Quebec border is on the other side of Kirkland Lake, and just inside the border is the city of Rouyn Noranda. It is a great place to go for an afternoon of shopping and exploring another part of the Country. Our full service lodge is the perfect spot to come if you love getting away from it all, whatever the season.

VACATION OWNERSHIP:

Cedar Ridge Lodge is developing Ontario’s first semi private drive in lodge with the quality of a fly in. We cater to all outdoor enthusiasts to simplify and enrich scarce leisure time. Cedar Ridge Lodge boasts a four-season resort where you can hunt or fish all year long. The spring, summer and fall can be spent on the water fishing one or several of the remote undisturbed lakes in the area. Anglers can bring their own boats or choose enjoy hassle free fishing from one of the Lodges 14ft. Aluminum boats.

In the winter you can fish through the ice, snowmobile, or simply get away from it all to relax and enjoy the peaceful wilderness. If hunting is what you enjoy, you have found an affordable way to enjoy it in one of the most productive areas in Northern Ontario.

We offer Vacation Ownership in our lodge that is situated in a pristine location on the sandy shore of Burt Lake, 45 minutes west of the town of Kirkland Lake Ontario. Vacation Ownership at Cedar Ridge Lodge comes with all of the advantages of owning your own Lodge without the hassle and inconvenience that also come with ownership. We are presently offering a small offering of original Vacation Ownership series at a first come first serve basis. Phase 1 of the Cedar Ridge Lodge Vacation Ownership is in the form of “Series,” with each series entitling members to a minimum of two weeks during the peak hunting and fishing season each year. Additional weeks can be obtained depending upon availability. The lodge is also open to members during the winter where members are encouraged to enjoy the various activities that an iced covered lake, or snow-covered trails have to offer.

Vacation Ownership has its privileges, and this holds true at Cedar Ridge Lodge. We offer unparalleled service, from meals to boats to daily maid service.

Guests are welcome at Cedar Ridge Lodge as well, so if you would like to entertain a friend or associate feel free to let them enjoy the same experience as you do. There are several methods of using your Vacation Ownership, that allow guests to come at no additional cost.

Maintenance Levy - After purchasing your Vacation Ownership at Cedar Ridge Lodge, it is necessary to maintain the unit. This cost is called the maintenance levy. The maintenance levy covers such things as rates, insurance, electricity, water, wear and tear and all housekeeping, gardening and yard maintenance. An average maintenance levy is between $400 and $700 per week of ownership. The Cedar Ridge Vacation Ownership prides itself on being one of the lowest in the industry. The maintenance levy in 2003 is only $250 based on two weeks of ownership.
