Three Seasons Lodge on Otter Tail Lake has a recreation room feature entertainment and relaxation for the entire family. Pool table, pinball machines, video games, snacking or just socializing. On cool days stay cozy in front of our large stone fireplace. Books, puzzles and games are available at no charge.
Three Seasons Lodge on Otter Tail Lake is a family recreation lake which is famous for its fishing and water sports. Visitors can expect some of the finest fishing in Minnesota. Hungry walleyes and northern pike are abundant in Otter Tail Lake. It is perhaps the most reliable walleye producer in the state. Otter Tail Lake is a clean lake with a 17' weed line. The lake is very large (14,735 acres) and deep 128'. It is perfect for skiing, sailing or just cruising the shorelines. If you think we are biased, we may be. Three Seasons Lodge on beautiful Otter Tail Lake known for its Walleye. The Lake is also abundant with Jumbo Perch, Crappies, and large Northern Pike. Prime fishing is early and late in the season, which is nice since rates are reduced during this time. 14’ & 16’ fishing boats, a 25’ pontoon or lifts for your boat are available for rent. Fishing Guide Service is also available.
Water recreation begins with Three Seasons Lodge on Otter Tail Lake natural sand beach, ideal for small children. Our beach is great for building sandcastles or playing water volleyball. Otter Tail Lake is also great for boating, water-skiing and many other water sports. Enjoy our canoe, paddleboats and playaks. Windy days find bright colored sailboats adding to the lakescape.
Three Seasons Lodge has 15 (1, 2 or 3 Bedroom) Cabins. All cabins feature full kitchens including microwaves. They are fully furnished including bedding, but please bring your own towels. Each cabin has a barbecue grill, picnic table and a color cable TV.
Otter Tail Lake is great for vacationing. Enjoy visiting the shops in Battle Lake, Perham, Fergus Falls and many country boutiques. Take the family on a relaxing tube ride down the Otter Tail River.
Golfers choose from the many area championship golf courses including Thumper Pond and Balmoral. Three Seasons Lodge on Otter Tail Lake is located between two great Minnesota State parks, Glendalough and Maplewood.
Area History: In 1930, George Leroy Pease of Breckenridge purchased several undeveloped lots on Otter Tail Lakes west end from Nils Peterson who had platted the beach and called it "Pleasant Grove". It was here that Pease set out to build his resort called, "Pease Camp". It had 5 cabins, two sleeping rooms and a beautiful lodge headquarters. The original cabins had split log siding with natural varnish finish and stone fireplaces rendering them extremely attractive.
In this era, cabins were very rustic affairs compared to what we see today in resorts. Walls were bare and unfinished, with no running water or indoor plumbing.
Later Pease added three more privately owned cottages plus a fourth moved in from another lot as their resort prospered. He purchased two large launches which were brought over from Dead Lake one of them originally belonging to the Maytag family.
With the death of Pease in 1946, Three Seasons Lodge was sold to Jennie and Grant Jensen who, with their son Virgil, had already owned a house next door since 1935. Jensen then continued the expansion by buying the Weggeland store, which he remodeled into a Duplex.
In 1949, Three Seasons Fishing Lodge was sold to Roy and Laverne Okeson who operated it until 1988 at which time it was sold to Josephine and Jim Spilde.
Today, Three Seasons Fishing Lodge continues a success with their 15 well maintained cabins. The current owners make it a family affair. Denny & Diane Jones along their daughter Debbie and her husband Paul Ness bought the resort from the Spildes in the fall of 1999. They are committed to make it a haven for gamesmen and families alike, into the future.
