Plummers Lodges

Poplar Bay Park Tourist Camp presently has one three bedroom cottage overlooking a court yard and beach area. This cottage has modern conveniences and can accommodate six persons comfortably.

The Poplar Bay Park Tourist Camp store offers most items essential to make your stay more enjoyable. The restaurant offers light meals, fresh coffee, friendly service and a wealth of information from the staff and patrons.

The attached tackle/bait shop is stocked with a variety of bait including live minnows. We also carry tackle consistent with the general usage in our area along with fishing licenses and maps of area. The Poplar Bay Park Tourist Camp shop can provide information on the best local fishing spots and swap with you some fishing stories.

This area offers a wealth of nature related activities from bird watching to berry picking. Hikers can enjoy a number of trails where wildlife, rock climbing and beautiful scenery can be experienced.

Our man-made beach offers good swimming .. Two playgrounds exist for our guests enjoyment. Paddle boats area available for rent and can be safely used in our protected bay.

Although many of our seasonal visitors come for the natural beauty, bird watching, hiking, etc., the majority are avid fishermen. Lac du Bonnet and the accessible Lee and Bird Rivers offer fishing for walleye (pickeral), bass, northern pike, perch, and goldeye. Many lakes in the area are accessible by road and they offer excellent fishing for individual species.

Fly in fishing can also be arranged to lakes inaccessible by road. Poplar Bay Park Tourist Camp also trys to accommodate individuals wanting to take advantage of this exciting fishing experience with others of like interest.

Come and enjoy a leisurely drive to Poplar Bay Park Tourist Camp. Located on paved Hwy 315, the eastern tip of Lac du Bonnet.

This scenic area of Manitoba is located on the Eastern edge of the Canadian shield only 150 kilometers (95 miles) northeast of the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Remember to stop at Lac du Bonnet and ready with a camera for the next 30 kilometers to Poplar Bay. The wildlife in this are is noted for its tourist watching and many nature photographs are captured from the roadway.
