Plummers Lodges

Once here the adventure offers many surprises… like dawn to dusk fishing in protected waters, close to the lodge. Your boat, gear, bait, foul weather wear, cleaning and total catch care are provided. You will receive expert instruction from our resident Fish Master and ongoing fishing ground support. You will be fishing from unsinkable custom-built 17.5' welded aluminum boats, powered by new, clean, quiet 40h.p. Honda outboards with electric start. Lowrance fish finders and top of the line gear complete the outfit. You and your fishing partner will have unlimited access to the fishing grounds, one on one instruction is available, any time.

Trophy Chinook, acrobatic Northern Coho, stubborn Halibut, tasty Ling Cod, and Rockfish are what have made Hakai Pass a world famous destination for sports fishing enthusiasts.

Every year all five species of Pacific Salmon migrate through Hakai Pass on the way to their natal streams. They provide for a variety of angling opportunities on the prime fishing grounds on our doorstep. The Racetrack, Barney Point, Odlum Point, Bayley, and The Gap are consistent producers.

For those who wish to explore new opportunities, our newest fishing holes of Breadner Point and Spider Island are a comfortable and picturesque 45 minute run from the lodge. Halibut and Red Snapper fishing at Surf Island and South Pointers have become a regular part of guests' outings in pursuit of these delicious though stamina testing bottom dwellers.

Our trips begin in Vancouver, BC with a breathtaking 2 hour flight to Hakai Pass. Packages are all inclusive and begin at Vancouver's South Terminal Airport, outstanding meals and open bar, private accommodations, hot tub, unlimited fishing, all tackle, license, foul weather wear, bait and supplies.Expert instruction, ongoing fishing ground support and total catch care.

Once in Vancouver, your all inclusive adventure begins at Vancouver's South Terminal Airport. Located a short 15-20 minute taxi ride from the main terminal. For guests who are driving to Vancouver, pay parking is available at the South Terminal Airport. Guests arriving the night prior to trip commencement can take advantage of the complimentary shuttle service provided by the hotels recommended in our Trip Planning section. Our departure from the South Terminal is at 9:30am on Wednesday and Saturday on our charter flight with Pacific Coastal Airlines. Arriving in Port Hardy at 10:30am where you will transfer to a float plane for the final 40 minute flight directly to the lodge in Barney Bay. You will arrive at the lodge in time for a superb lunch before your orientation and an afternoon of great fishing adventures.

Your flight takes you over 270 miles of breathtaking scenery along British Columbia's wild central coast. Long beaches, sandy dunes, rocky headlands, an intricate network of coves, inlets and channels provide visitors to Ole's with a spectacular marine landscape for sport fishing and exploring.
