Okimot Lodge was established over 50 years ago, and is a family run business. We are located 40 miles north west of North Bay, open year around. Tomiko is a good sized lake with an average depth of 30 feet and fishing is great.

Each of our fully equipped cottages is right on one of the finest natural sandy beaches in the area providing a spectacular view and an ideal site for evening campfires. Bear Hunting is a specialty here and our bear management unit is extensive. Guests can enjoy hunting with rifle or bow. Also moose and grouse hunting. Tomiko's north shore is almost completely unoccupied land ensuring minimal boat traffic.
In winter direct access to 'TOP-D' snowmolbile trail.
We can make special packages to suit anyone's needs. Hunting and fishing can be combined.
Tomiko is a good sized lake with an average depth of 30 feet and fishing is great for walleye and smallmouth especially in the spring and late fall. Our "hassle free" 14' aluminum boats with up to date Johnson motors and padded swivel seats will also take you to two adjoining lakes. One is sheltered and provides excellent fishing for largemouth in the weed beds. Tomiko's north shore is almost completely unoccupied land ensuring minimal boat traffic.
For a vacation with friends or family, you would be hard pressed to find a more suitable facility than Okimot Lodge. Each of our fully equipped cottages is right on one of the finest natural sandy beaches in the area providing a spectacular view and an ideal site for those evening campfires. The area is particularly beautiful in the fall and the surrounding bush is criss crossed with many old logging roads that provide access to some fine grouse hunting and a myriad of hiking and snowmobile trails.
Whether you opt for a stay on the American plan or decide to cook your own meals and visit us on a housekeeping basis, one of our variously sized cottages will meet your requirements. For two of you, our one bedroom log cabin might be just fine but if you are a larger group, the two or three bedroom units will afford ample space and comfort. Each unit is equipped with electric heat and 3 piece bathroom.
Bear Hunting - Okimot Lodge offers a quality bear hunt and fishing package. Our 2003 dates are mid Aug. tru mid Oct. Located 40 miles north west of North Bay, our large bear management unit surrounds Tomiko Lake which provides good walleye and bass fishing. We supply a boat and motor as well as gas and bait for our hunters to use when not hunting or for access to some baits not accessible by road. The cost for a seven day package is $950.00 (U.S. Funds per person). This includes cottage, delicious home cooked breakfast and supper, boat and motor, gas, firearms declaration, black bear hunting & fishing license, export license and an ACTIVE tree stand to hunt over. We welcome both rifle and bow hunters. Using meat scraps, baiting starts in early July. We take only a limited number of hunters each week, (5 - 6) to allow everyone a good chance at bear. Successful hunters are assisted with the handling and freezing of their bear.
