Oregon's Northside Outfitters has been a hunting outfitter providing big game guided Mule Deer Hunts and Rocky Mountain Elk Hunts for over 20 years. In 1995 we began concentrating our outfitter guide service to Oregon's Northside Unit. The Northside unit is home to some of the biggest herds of Rocky Mountain Elk in the state of Oregon. It also has one of the densest population of Mule Deer.
Oregon's Northside Unit is highly overlooked for it's trophy size animals due to the small amount of public land available. However it is the grain enriched private ranches that feed our big Mule Deer Bucks and Rocky Mountain Bull Elk, which has provided the area with trophy quality hunts
Northside Outfitters provides outfitter guide service for both archery and rifle hunters as well as drop camps for those independent in nature. We've also added Pack-In hunts for both our Mule Deer Hunts and Rocky Mountain Elk Hunts and expanded our guide service area to include the Ochoco Unit. Please take a tour of our site and then give us a call or send us an email and "Come experience Eastern Oregon's overlooked trophy unit. you'll be glad you did.
Northside Outfitters understands the time, effort and cost associated in planning and preparing for a guided hunt. That's why we spend countless hours every year scouting, finding new areas to hunt, improve on the areas we already hunt and constantly seek to sharpen our own skills. Our goal is to ensure that all of our hunters not only enjoy their hunt but also the experiences and memories that accompany them.
The areas we hunt are teaming with herds of Rocky Mountain Elk, Mule Deer and some White Tail Deer. We routinely cycle our hunt areas to ensure we do not over hunt any particular herd. Ensuring the strength of the herds is important, so we may present our clients with the best quality of animals available. In fact, many of our bulls and bucks are of Trophy caliber.
Hunters, it is important to understand that we hunt under "Fair Chase" conditions which is a difficult task unto itself, but a most rewarding feeling when successful. Northside Outfitters strive for 100% success rates, however, with "Fair Chase" hunts it is not always possible; weather conditions, physical ability and dedication all play a key role in a successful harvest. There may be instances where our clients return home with only their fondest memories and a desire to try again next year.
