We are the only lodge on the lake and in our area, accessible by floatplane only. At the main lodge we are surrounded by over fifty lakes with present access to over ten lakes. Come and experience catch and release fishing at it’s finest!
Our main lodge package is the American Plan. We can accommodate 16 people. Our lodge and cabins are nestled in tall pines and birch trees overlooking a beautiful sheltered bay.
Our cabins each have two bedrooms and a full bath. We have a licensed dining room and lounge to better facilitate our guests. We have fish and game licenses and a large assortment of tackle available to you.
Our American Plan includes floatplane flight from Lynn Lake to Northern Lights Lodge, clean comfortable cabins with bedding, pillows, towels and daily maid service, boats, motors, gas, life jackets, nets, paddles and the finest home cooked meals and traditional shore lunches.
FISHING:
Our lakes have a diversified structure of bays and islands, boulder strewn drop offs, weed beds, crystal clear depths to 240 feet, and a series of rapids and waterfalls.
The fresh waters and healthy environment provide a natural habitat for an abundance of trophy Lake Trout, Northern, and Walleye which have been caught each year. Our lakes lay in somewhat hilly country with a lot of high banks, making for beautiful scenery.
There is always a chance of to spot a moose, bear, caribou, or a bald eagle, so don’t forget your camera. At Northern Lights Lodge, we employ a catch, photo, and release rule, thus keeping this fabulous fishing experience alive for generations to come. Our lakes have just been designated as high quality management lakes.
Of course, we will keep enough of the smaller fish for our delicious fish fry’s and shore lunches. You will get plenty of fishing time in as we have over twenty hours of daylight in June and July.
Late August and September are some of the prettiest months and a great time to view our spectacular northern lights. It is also a great time for fishing, especially for Lake Trout.
HUNTING:
We offer guided spring black bear/timber wolf hunts and guided fall moose/timber wolf hunts. These packages also include our great fishing. Our Moose hunts are seven days and are one guide per hunter. If you have a friend that wants to participate, we can set up a fishing package for that person.
Moose hunting with one guide per hunter will greatly increase the odds of our hunters getting a moose. Come hunt one of the newer areas allocated in northwest Manitoba. We have exclusive rights for these allocations. The bear, and moose, in our area have received very little hunting pressure because of our vast remoteness. You will be amazed at the size of the bear and moose in the area.
We have the different color phases of the black bear, including cinnamon, blonde, and chocolate brown. Our hunters have taken an average of 50% color phase bears. We have several bear stands designed just for bow hunters.
