Iskwatikan Lake is located 40 miles northeast of La Ronge, Saskatchewan. The Rapid River feeds the lake with plenty of crystal clear fresh water which makes a perfect habitat for its outstanding walleye population.
One quarter mile downstream you will find the incredible "Nistowiak Falls." This waterfall is considered among the most beautiful in
Saskatchewan.
Bryce and Monica Liddell invite you to share their little piece of paradise. With so much to do and no schedule to keep, many of our guest tell us it is more like a retreat.
Guides are not required for Iskwatikan Lake, our well detailed maps will help you find all the "hot spots". Fish for timid Walleye that make such a great shore lunch, battle the ferocious Northern Pike, and troll the Lake Trout hot spots for a look at one of these beauties. Many of our clients prefer to fish for Walleye in the early morning and just before dusk, while fishing for Northern Pike and Lake Trout during the day. Remember, you're on your own schedule - go out and come back in when you want.
The well-protected bays and channels provide great fishing in all weather conditions, plus the natural fishing 'hat trick' (walleye, northern pike, and lake trout) all in the same water!
While Iskwatikan Lake Lodge offers great fishing for the natural hat trick (Northern Pike, Walleye, and Lake Trout) - Iskwatikan Lake Lodge also offers hiking canoeing, sightseeing and just plain old relaxing. Travel one mile across the lake and hike the trail to see the spectacular Nistowiak Falls. Ask Bryce to tell you the story of how the first set of falls got their name (Airplane Falls). Canoe around the lake and watch for wildlife on shore, in the water and in the air. Take a dip in the rapids to cool off during a hot summer afternoon. Complete the day with a fish fry of freshly caught walleye fillets and an evening spent around the campfire visiting and telling stories of the big one that got away.
The peace, quiet, and friendly atmosphere will keep you coming back to Iskwatikan Lake Lodge for years to come.
Iskwatikan Lake's clear fresh waters are fed by the Rapid River. Such a habitat ensures good fish health and population. Secluded bays and the many islands offer the opportunity to fish the lake in all kinds of weather. A quiet spot isn't far away.
