Plummers Lodges

Experience the beauty of Canada's wilderness landscape on our secluded island location! Our resort, situated in the heart of Ontario's backcountry, gives you the opportunity to revel in the glories of the great outdoors on your get-away vacation.

The main lodge offers you're a tranquil setting with a breathtaking view of the natural terrain encompassing you. At day's end, you'll also enjoy the night-time sky showing stars in all of their glory. Inside the lodge you will find a comfortable lounge area that invites you to take a moment to relax and bask in the warmth of the open-hearth fireplace. You can browse through the library, or play a round of Ping-Pong.

At French River Lodge our guests experience fine meals surrounded by a spectacular view of Ox Bay, where the French and Pickerel Rivers join on their way to Georgian Bay. The main complex also includes a variety store to meet our guests' every need. The lodge shop carries everything from groceries and souvenirs, to fishing licenses, tackle, maps, and tourist information. We feel confident that you will find all you need on a holiday adventure with French River Lodge!

Our Island location, with rustic waterfront cottages, provides each of our guests with ample privacy and tranquility. All cottages have full-size screened in porches, which offers you a breathtaking view of Ox Bay. Imagine kicking back and relaxing on the porch at sunset in a comfortable and mosquito-free environment.

Our lodge, established in 1923, is nestled in the semi-remote French River Delta. Come and enjoy our private 16-acre island located in the heart of Northern Ontario's finest fishing and hunting grounds. Bring your family or friends and experience the excitement a sportfishing adventure can provide. We boast a healthy population of Walleye (pickerel), Northern Pike, Muskie, Bass and Panfish. Our ideal location offers the avid fisherman or canoeist access to the waters of Georgian Bay and its main tributaries.

The French River is one of Ontario's oldest and most scenic river systems. This freshwater system flows from Lake Nipissing to Georgian Bay. The area of the French River Delta from Recollett Falls at Highway 69, to Georgian Bay is a landscape almost untouched by modern man. In this semi-remote wilderness setting our guests have the opportunity to enjoy excellent fishing, canoeing, and a chance to see a variety of wildlife in their natural habitat. Getting to our area is not a huge headache for travelers. To enhance our setting we offer you fine accommodations, excellent customer service, all located within a reasonable driving range for most visitors.
