Four Seasons Guiding is located on the border of the Chapleau Crown Game Preserve. As a result, we have the best Black Bear, Moose, Wolf, Ruffed & Spruce Grouse hunting in Canada. Our trophy lake has great fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass and Brook Trout as well as Lake Trout in other drive-to lakes.

Black Bear hunting in the Chapleau area is the best in the world. Four Seasons' Guiding is one of those professional outfitters who are lucky enough to be right on the outer-edge of the Chapleau Crown Game Preserve. The game preserve not only produced the highest population of Black Bears but the biggest Black Bears in the world. Trophy bears can exceed 550 pounds and sightings by hunters are over 90%.

With the abundance of wildlife in the area, wolf populations are way up. Bear hunters can take a wolf when the opportunity arises. They just need to have an extra small game license. You don't need to be a bear hunter to hunt for wolf. Your hosts, Camille & Marie Robitaille are registered professional guides and trappers which will add to the adventure and success of tracking down these sometimes elusive creatures.

There is also a high population of moose in the area. Calf tags are easy to get for any hunter. Adult tags are issued to the outfitters after population assessments are made by the Ministry of Natural Resources. For the availability of adult Moose tags, please contact Four Seasons' Guiding.

Northern Ontario is world famous for Walleye fishing. Lakes like Big Pine Lake add to this fame by producing a good Walleye fishery. There are also many other drive-to lakes and the famous Chapleau River where you can get good size Walleye. Some of our customers bring their own boats and then are free to fish a different lake every day. Your best bet for a trophy is on Big Pine Lake as it's designated as a catch & release trophy lake.

Northern Pike are the fresh-water sharks of the north. It's hard to say what an average size is because there is such a high population of every size pike. You can catch lots of small eating size pike right up to 20 pound trophies. The important thing is you are catching a lot of fish, which is the enjoyment of fishing. Your best bet for a trophy is on Big Pine Lake as it's designated as a catch & release trophy-lake.

So why not join us for some of the finest angling and hunting Northern Ontario has to offer! NOTE OF INTEREST: Our bear grounds border the Chapleau Crown Game Preserve; which is the World's largest Game Preserve. Outdoor enthusiasts from around the world venture into the spectacular preserve to experience its remarkable tranquility and beauty. Sightings of Moose, bear and assorted wildlife are very common. We look forward to hearing from you!
