There is unlimited classic fishing structure in this Canadian shield lake formed by granitic bedrock: hundreds of coves, shallow and deep bays, narrows and inlets. Pine, spruce, birch and aspen covered islands shelter the lake. The cool clean water is tea colored and contains rock reefs and points, submerged islands and humps, slopes, and sandbars adjacent to weedbeds.
At long last wilderness fishing is made easy. Fly-in or rail-in to one of the most remote areas in Canada. Flindt Landing Camp is located in Northwest Ontario within the 2.3 million acre Wabakimi Provincial Park. It is one of only seven camps located within the park. Experience spectacular fishing on 17-mile long Heathcote Lake formed by the Flindt River. Fish unlimited structure with water up to 140' deep, and hundreds of islands, bays, coves, narrows, and inlets.
Portage lakes are available, and many adjoining lakes have yet to be discovered. Flindt Landing is not a large camp. Being the only camp in this remote area, you can fish every day and probably not see another boat.
There is an abundant supply of big northern pike, walleye, white fish, and perch. Fourteen pound walleye and thirty pound pike have been caught at Flindt Landing The fishing in this vast, remote area hasn't been scratched. Take a look at some of our guests and their catches!
