The lower 100 miles of the Deschutes flows from Pelton Dam to the confluence with the Columbia River. The mouth of the Deschutes is typically where your trip begins. We are specializing in the lower 24 miles of the river. From Mack's Cayon to the mouth. Access is limited on the water to either floating downstream in a driftboat or going upstream in a jet boat. Once up on this section of the river there is room to fish and enjoy this scenic section of the Deschutes River canyon.
Summer Steelhead steal the show from July though October. We have guides that specialize in fly fishing or gear fishing (or both). We can match your preferred choice of angling. Either way the summer steelhead are typically willing to take your fly or lure aggressively and provide some spectacular battles.

The lower Deschutes provides one of the best summer steelhead rivers in the west. Each summer, from July to October, there are summer steelhead typically very willing to take your fly and then provide a spectacular battle.
The scenery in the Deschutes River Canyon is awesome. The early morning and late evening provide some of the best fly fishing. Also, during those times the half light in the canyon makes the setting for your fishing incredible.
This year will be my 10th season on the Deschutes. I can still remember my first fly caught Deschutes fish. I was hooked on this river for good. I want you to come experience this special fishery for yourself.
