Colorado Trout Hunters offers a variety of Colorado fly fishing, and Colorado trout fishing opportunities. On our guided outings we regularly catch feisty rainbow trout, native cutthroat trout, including several subspecies (Snake River Cutthroat Trout, Colorado River Cutthroat Trout, Rio Grand Cutthroat Trout, and Greenback Cutthroat Trout) as well as huge cut-bows, the elusive brown trout, and beautiful brook trout. The lucky angler may even do battle with a rare albino trout, or as we call them, palomino rainbow trout.
Our strong catch-and-release fly fishing ethic, as well as our emphasis on education and trout habitat conservation, help ensure exceptional Colorado fly fishing, and healthy trout populations, for future generations of Colorado fly fishing enthusiasts to experience. At Colorado Trout Hunters, we have a wide range of Colorado fly fishing trip options. We offer guided fly fishing trips on both public and private blue ribbon trout water, multi-day fly fishing trips, full or half day fly fishing trips, and we are introducing 1/2 day fly fishing trips in the evening for anglers unavailable to fish during the day.
Our full day guided Colorado fly fishing trip package includes rental equipment if needed (rod, reel, waders), terminal tackle, beverages, lunch and dessert. We typically fish from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, but we will work around your needs and any specific fishing conditions for the best fishing that day. A gratuity for the guide is not included (approx. 20%). Flies are not included in the fly fishing trip price. As a suggested option, for $20 per person for a full day fly fishing guide trip, we will include all flies (usually 12-24 flies are used per person on a full day trip).
Our half day fly fishing trips include 4 hours of fishing and can be set up for morning, afternoon, or evening excursions. Pricing includes guide fee, beverages, terminal tackle, and equipment (rod, reel, waders). Guide gratuity (approx. 20%) and flies are not included, but for $10 per person for a half day we will provide all flies. Normally 6-12 flies are used on a half day Colorado fly fishing adventure, guide trip, or lesson.
