Campbell's Cabins is located on Lac La Croix - the most beautiful of the many Minnesota-Canadian border lakes. Few resorts in Ontario can offer you more complete Northwoods vacation facilities - the excellence of accommodations, and most important, a vast network of easily accessible lakes and rivers for fishing and outdoor enthusiasts.
Campbell's Cabins is securely nestled on the shores of a protected bay deep in the quiet solitude of Lac la Croix. The resort and trading post facilities are a complement to the greatness of the lake, for they, too, are of an outstanding quality. Though isolated, you'll find the camp to be an "oasis" in this vacation paradise. Its facilities are ultra-modern, and you will find no finer resort on the border lakes.
Campbell's is owned and managed by Jay and Cheryl Handberg. The present resort began as a small trading post and store in the 1920's.

Campbell's Cabins is basically an American Plan resort with most visits including the guided fishing boat package. Listed are the all-inclusive fishing packages that include accomodations, dinner on day of arrival, all meals on intervening days, breakfast on day of departure, 18' Lund boat with cushioned, swivel seats, motors, gas, return air fare from Crane Lake. Use of 16 ft. fishing boats allowed after 6:00 pm, if available. Our package plans do not include gratuities, fishing licenses or bait, or applicable taxes. Rates are per person and in Canadian funds (exchange rate varies daily). Ask for group rates for more than 12 people.
Lac La Croix is one of the few lakes in the region to offer excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike, lake trout, smallmouth bass and crappies.
Relax and explore. Fish in comfort. Guides are not essential, but they will add much to the pleasure of your day as well as taking you to the finest fishing around!
All of our guides are experienced, capable Chippewa Natives and are members of the Lac La Croix Guide Association. You will find their knowledge of the country and fishing most helpful.
We'll take you to some of Canada's finest remote fishing lakes with prompt, courteous service.
Campbell's Cabins seaplane dock is located at Crane Lake, Minnesota; call ahead from Orr. Drive to our landing at Crane Lake and park adjacent to U.S. Customs and Scott's Coffee Shop. Friendly personnel at the coffee shop will help you with your flight arrangements. We operate a chartered commercial seaplane service with de Havilland Otter and Beaver and Cessna 185 aircraft.
