Description
Fly 185 air miles north of Red Lake to the spacious wilderness of Opasquia Provincial Park. Big Hook Camps housekeeping cabins are the most remote in Northwestern Ontario. Al Lindener recomends the camps. Opasquia's striking geology contains thousands of lakes and source waters for the Gods and Sachigo River systems.

Among the spruce and birch trees are bald eagles, bear, moose, osprey, otters, wolves, minks, martins and of course, an abundance of fish. Our housekeeping outpost cabins are adequately equipped for a pleasurable wilderness experience.

Big Hook Wilderness Camps is a remote destination for those who want to escape the high tech world. Located in the spacious boreal forest of the Opasquia Provincial Park, 1.5 million acres of true beauty, is a unique, unspoiled, road-less area.

Experience a first rate moose hunt in Ontario's northern wilderness with Big Hook Camps. This remote fly-in camp is situated in a vast boreal forst where true nature abides. A non-guided hunt, 7 full days, hunting in W.M.U. #1C. Hunt begins September 23.

Big Hook Camps is a great place for a photographic safari. You have the freedom of exploring many miles of pristine shoreline and experiencing the beauty of various waterfalls and rapids. If you are the adventurous type, portage lakes are convenient too.

Choose from one of 5 secluded outpost cabins strategically located on pure, clean wilderness lakes where your fishing party will be the only group on the water.

Fishing in Canada for northern pike and walleye with fly-in only access means you'll get to experience fast, unpressured fishing for trophy walleye and trophy pike. The unsurpassed fishing in the Opasquia is being maintained by the promotion of no trophy angling. Big Hook Camps certainly want you to enjoy eating fish while you are here.

Your favorite jigs/twistertails, spoons and spinners will be all you'll need to produce incredible rewards. Trophy Walleye and Northern Pike are common. The use of barbless hooks and no live bait contributes to the present and future fabulous fishing. Be sure to bring your camera so that you can have your exciting catch reproduced to a replica permamount. Perch and Whitefish are plentiful and fun to catch too.
