Magnificent Lake Athapapuskow. The Cree word, meaning "rocks all around", simply does not adequately describe the serene beauty of this Fisherman's Paradise. The lake is world renowned for its trophy Lake Trout; for many years Lake Athapap stood unchallenged as the leader, holding the world record for the largest Trout ever caught using a rod and reel at 29 kg (63 lbs.). Different species of fish thrive in the varying depths of the lake - trophy Northern Pike, pickerel, whitefish, perch, Rainbow Trout, and burbot hungrily await your best lure. To add to your outdoor experience nearly 2,500 km of shoreline, more than 1,100 islands, and several beautiful beaches are there for your exploration and enjoyment. Drop your family off to relax before heading off to your favorite fishing spot (make sure you remember where you left them, though!). If you truly feel like really getting away from it all, our Walton Lake Outcamp offers quiet isolation and spectacular fishing at an affordable price.
Walton Lake Outcamp - Walton Lake is about a two hour drive North of the lodge and is not easily accessable to fishing from the general public. There are two cabins located at the camp site, each accommodating up to 4 adults. There is a large, screened in central kitchen to aid in enjoying a relaxing meal in the outdoors after a day on the lake. The area has 4 lakes within minutes from the central campsite that provide great angling for Walleye and Large Northern Pike.The nearby towns of Cranberry Portage, Flin Flon, and The Pas provide shopping, sightseeing, golfing and other outdoor activities. This fantastic Northwest Region of Manitoba offers all the different vacation packages one could want, with Athapap Lodge being the place to start

All cabins contain kitchettes and are fully modern with housekeeping facilities which include - Dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, bedding and linen. There is also a large walk in freezer with an attatched fish processing center.
