Strategically placed ground and raised blinds in baited areas are used to maximize your hunting opportunities. A.R.M. does not guarantee success but, so far, over 95% of the hunters have had an opportunity to harvest. 1997 was a showcase year for its variety of color phases for black bear. 1999 was a perfect year for white-tailed deer with a 100% success rate and the largest buck to date-- Cedric's gross score of 175 B&C. Also, A.R.M. prefers only 2 deer hunters per week so each hunter starts in at least one fresh stand.
McPhee's Most Wanted, Crime-- "Eat and Run" - A red haired vixen broke the hearts of two hunters by thieving venison. The hunters have learned from their missed steaks and caution others that although Saskatchewan winter weather is a superb freezer, it is not secure.
Your accommodations while hunting with A.R.M. Outfitters are commercial housekeeping cabins on McPhee Lake or rooms at Weyakwin's Thunder Hills Store.
At McPhee Lake's Gateway Resort, your cabin has a kitchenette with all the essentials and a shower. The two rooms have double beds and there is a hide-a-bed couch in the living area.
There are numerous advantages to the location of these cabins. The primary one being they are a stone's throw away from the hunting area. Also, for spring bear hunters who like to fish, McPhee Lake has both walleye and northern pike. A boat can easily be arranged. Two 18 hole golf courses are also within a ten mile radius.
Accommodations at Weyakwin's Thunder Hills Store are clean rooms with a shared bathroom. The restaurant provides home-style meals.
Saskatchewan is a resource rich Canadian province. A.R.M. Outfitters' hunting area of approximately 380,000 acres has only been open to non-resident hunters since 1995. Also, much of A.R.M.'s western side touches the Prince Albert National Park and its protected wildlife population. Fortunately,wildlife does not recognize manmade boundaries and does not stay in this national park of approximately 960,000 acres so whether you hunt black bear or white-tailed deer with bow, rifle, muzzleloader or camera, your chances of success are great.
