OSSI is open year around. Fish from a boat for the summer months, or try your hand at ice fishing in the winter. March is an excellent month as generally the weather is milder, but January and February are also good months for ice fishing.
As well we have fantastic snowmobile trails. In fact we are located right on the Ontario Federation of Snowmobiler's F. Trail. The trails in Northern Ontario are fantastic, the best in Ontario, aw shucks, in the world.
OSSI Welcomes You! Come and enjoy great scenery, many different species of fish and wildlife. It has become very evident that all of us must work together in preserving our earth and wildlife. Therefore OSSI is offering an opportunity for you to join us here to enjoy the total wilderness experience. The main fishing hole in our area is Wabatongushi Lake. OSSI guests fish Wabatongushi Lake, but they also enjoy excursions to many smaller outpost lakes. These lakes offer some of the same species of fish that are present in Wabatongushi, but also other species, i.e., lake trout, and speckled trout.
Take advantage of great fishing, and then the enjoyment of eating some fine tasting walleye, or northern pike. Then on your trip home to know these natural resources are in capable hands for your children's children.
