The Hudson Bay area of western Canada, has produced some of Saskatchewan's record class Whitetail Deer. Several Boone and Crockett records have been taken in the past few years.
There is also a great population of huge Black Bears. The color phase is about 40%-50% producing brown chocolate and blonde bears.
Bird Hunting is excellent in the fall. Canada Geese and Mallard Ducks are in abundance and we also have good Sharptail and Ruffled Grouse hunting.
We offer a "Guaranteed Trophy Hunt" for Elk and Buffalo on a Private Preserve. Waterfowl, Upland and Bear "combo" hunts are also available with the trophy hunt!
The Overflow River Hunting Lodge is located approximately 10 miles east of Hudson Bay and offers all the modern conveniences. Taxidermy services are available.
Saskatchewan is famous for it's large Whitetail Deer (current Boone & Crockett world record for typical whitetail deer - Milo Hanson, harvested in Saskatchewan, 1993 - SCORE: 213-5/8). We hunt on 7,000 acres of our privately owned farmland, plus approximately a half million acres of provincial land between the Porcupine Hills and the Pasquia Hills. This is a "fringe area" where the farmland ends and the forest begins. The area is home to huge whitetail bucks with many being potential Boone & Crockett candidates!.
Overflow River Outfitters hunts are operated using new vehicles and modern equipment. Our tree stands include Texas tripods, box ladder stands, ground blinds and enclosed stands for your comfort in colder weather. You hunt over baited stands that are well placed and regularly maintained - which adds to your success in harvesting that trophy buck you have always dreamed about!
Overflow River Outfitters believes in quality hunts at a fair price - for serious hunters. Our hunts can be tailored to suit your individual or group needs. Hunt packages include comfortable accommodation in our lodge and home-cooked meals.

In addition to rifle hunts, we also offer archery and black powder hunting. We believe in quality hunts at a fair price - for serious hunters. Overflow River Outfitters hunts can be tailored to suit your individual or group needs. Bear hunting can also be combined with any other hunt provided the seasons coincide. Bear hunting is also available as an "add-on" for those planning to participate in our Guaranteed Trophy Hunt on our special 700 acre Hunting Preserve.
On the preserve you have an opportunity to hunt Elk as well as Buffalo (Bison). All preserve hunts are 1 on 1 guided for maximum success on each hunters trophy! These preserve hunts are 3 days with all food and a truly modern lodge stay included.
There is also an opportunity to hunt bears or waterfowl with your preserve trophy hunt. In all preserve hunts, antlers and capes are included and taxidermy services are available.
