Bernard Pikula will be your host when you visit our lodge. He will also be your cook if you opt for the American plan, which includes breakfast, lunch and dinners. If you elect toa take care of your own meals, a store is available.
Rocky Bay Fishing Lodge supplys rain gear, rubber boots, cabins, boats, motors, linens, indoor modern toilet facilities, bath towells, rods, reels. We sell our lures. All of our trips begin on Saturday, from Edmonton, Alberta and end the following Saturday. 7 (seven) full days of fishing for $1900.00 US plus 7% GST. We also have three & four day trips from Fort Smith, NT. Three person minimum @ $350 each.
Rocky Bay Fishing Lodge is located 117 miles north of Ft. Smith, North West Territories, Canada on Rutledge Lake. The owners, Bernard Pikula and his wife Alice invite groups or individuals to visit for a week or two of fine fishing.
We have a list of items that will be furnished by the lodge, as well as a list of items you will need to furnish. We also have several recommandations as far as clothing and tackle are concerned. Please see the "information" section of our site.
Accommodations: Rocky Bay Fishing Lodge log cabins sleep six people per cabin. Each cabin is equipped with sleeping bags and sheets: a gas range, electric refrigerator, and a wood stove for heating. There is a weber barbecue for outside cooking. The general store at the lodge can accommodate all your needs including groceries, meat, tackle and lures. This is in case you elect to prepare your own meals. We are not licensed to sell alcoholic beverages (however you may bring your own. Please remember the weight limit on belongings brought with you). After a day of fishing, you may enjoy a nice shower at our separate shower house with hot and cold water. We have all modern plumbing in our facilities.
Rutledge Lake is 37 miles by 7 miles with a depth to 400 ft.. We are the only lodge located on this lake. The weather in June/August is 60 - 80 degrees. Cooling begins in lateAugust through October.
