We have boats, motors, fish freezing service, gas, oil, tackle, fishing licenses, groceries and a laundromat available for you. We are dealers for Suzuki outboards/quad runners, Husqvarna chainsaws, Stihl chainsaws and Misty River Boats. Qualified mechanic on duty for repairs and parts.

Ours is a vacation area where you will find the tops in fishing, boating, hunting, hiking, exploring or just plain resting from the cares of the world in beautiful, scenic Northern Manitoba the long summer days are sunny and warm and the nights are always pleasantly cool.
Come up 500 miles beyond the frontier and enjoy the vacation of your life. This is a new territory, the fish are here. We have two established fly-out camps, for walleye, northern or lake trout. Air service is available with a choice of plane sizes.
Viking Lodge is located approximately 500 miles North of the Manitoba / US border and has been owned and operated by Ted and Leslie Smith since 1976. It is the largest fishing / hunting lodge in the Northwest Division of Manitoba. It is a well established camp located at the mouth of the Grassy River Provincial Park Canoe System.
With 52 miles of fishable water and access to 5 lakes and 3 portage lakes with Boat and Motors, 2 fly-in camps there is a lot of water for you cover during your stay at Viking Hunting Lodge. Spring and Fall Non-Resident Black Bear Hunting Packages (23 allocated Tags), Grouse and Dunk Hunting Packages are all available.
Whether it is fishing, hunting or just a family vacation; you will find your stay at Viking Fishing Lodge a most pleasant and enjoyable one. Here you will find some of the fishing you have dreamed about. The main species of fish are Walleyes, record Lake Trout, and tackle smashing Northern Pike in abundance.
Viking Fishing Lodge has 16-foot boats for your comfort and safety, and 25 H.P. or larger outboards that run fast and smooth to take you to the best spots quickly, and then run slowly, quietly and trouble-free the way a good trolling motor should. Qualified mechanic on duty for any repairs and parts for your motors/boats and ours.
There are five lakes, all accessible by water without any portages; First Cranberry Lake, approximately six miles long; Second Cranberry Lake, approximately seven miles long; Third Cranberry Lake, approximately nine miles long; ten miles of the winding Grassy River, then Elbow Lake, which is six miles long; and Simon House Lake, approximately 15 miles long and connected by five miles of narrows off from Second Cranberry. By short portages, there are four other lakes, all noted for their good fishing. We have boats on these lakes for your convenience. Join us, and treat yourself to a pleasant and exciting vacation and be sure to bring your camera.
The game season also affords good hunting. There are Bear, Duck, and Grouse. etc.. in season. For those who wish to make a combined Fall fishing and hunting trip, it is an ideal vacation and one you won't want to miss. Plane service to remote areas is provided by experienced pilots.
